Home in the Islands® is a cultural brand created by Kapono Inc. that celebrates the music, people, and spirit of Hawai‘i. Rooted in authenticity, creativity, and aloha, the brand exists to honor the stories that make Hawai‘i unique, while sharing them with the world through live experiences, films, and digital media.
What began in 2022 as a landmark concert at the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell has grown into a living, evolving platform amplifying Hawai‘i’s voice through multiple expressions:
-
Home in the Islands® Music Festival – A statewide celebration each September, uniting venues, artists, and communities in honor of Hawai‘i’s music.
HITI Concerts – Special performances and branded shows that extend the Home in the Islands spirit year round.
HITI Livestream Series – Real-time broadcasts from Waikīkī Beach and iconic island locations, connecting Hawai‘i’s music and aloha with audiences worldwide.
-
HITI Short Films – Documentary-style episodes that capture the voices, stories, and legacy of Hawai‘i’s most influential musicians.
Together, these elements form a unified cultural brand, a place where Hawai‘i’s past, present, and future come together through music. Home in the Islands® is more than a name; it’s a movement to inspire pride in our local culture, support Hawai‘i’s music community, and share the aloha spirit with the world.
